Did you know... the number one cause of disease is holding on to stuff! Stuff like anger resentment and even hatred. Hanging on to the pain and suffering that happens when we get hurt creates a literal hardening of the heart.
There is a growing body of evidence that our thoughts and emotions directly affect our physical health. While we experience the hurt and anger right now, it's like planting a seed that grows and shows up in 15 to 18 months later as disease. You can read more about the emotional, mind body connection in Candace Pert's book: Molecules of Emotions.
For this week, we thought we would focus on what we can do right now to counteract the damage that comes with not dealing the stress these kinds of negative emotions put on our bodies.
Turns out that sending love and joy (aka Zooting) to others boosts YOUR immune system AND the immune system of others.
Thanks to Goddess Guide Marilyn Sutherland for sharing the video we offer for this week's practice. In the video, Amanda Gore, master practitioner of neuro-linguistics, teaches us about Zooting!
