In last week’s Goddess talk and at the member’s meeting on Saturday, we opened the conversation about our connection to spirituality. We thought we would share some of the juicy bits with you all.
We looked at how we access spirituality and we invite you to take a look too.
-
Spiritual - of, relating to, consisting of, or affecting the spirit.
For some it is through religion and those practices and traditions. For others it is through things like nature, our favorite animals, friends and family. And some are connected by meditating or other spiritual rituals.
-
Ritual - ceremonial act or action; an act or series of acts regularly repeated in a set precise manner.
We also talked about disconnection from spirit or a spiritual crisis. Many people are feeling very disconnected from each other and from themselves. So… how do you recognize a spiritual crisis or disconnection for yourself?
-
Spirit - An animating or vital principle held to give life to physical organisms; a supernatural being or essence.
There were many examples for us in our discussion including feeling alone, ungrounded, questioning our core selves, feeling disconnected from spirit, confused or lost, etc.
With the holidays right around the corner, we can’t help but bring up traditions as well. We may have thoughts and judgements about the traditions in our own family, but at the core, most traditions are simply another way to connect. Connect to our spirit and to the spirit of others. We could see it as a spiritual endeavor.
-
Tradition - the transmission of customs or beliefs from generation to generation.
The Goddess conversation is all about learning the backstory or history of the things in our lives that seem to have always been or that we have taken for granted.
Shedding light on them and inquiring, we tend to bring more awareness, understanding, and authenticity to ourselves and to life.
You are welcome to come anytime and jump in the conversation with us!
